Born in Malounda, Nicosia, Cyprus in 1956. He lives and works in Cyprus
and Paris. From 1976 to 1981 he studied painting at the Institute de Arte Plastice “N. Grigorescu” in Bucharest with a scholarship from UNESCO. He furthered his studies in 1986-1987 at Cite International des Arts through a Scholarship from the French Government -The Prix Matisse1985 – and the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris, 1993 residence , FRAC / CRAC d’Alsace.
His participation in the Venice Biennale (Aperto 1990) was the beginning of a significant presence in the international art scene. He has created monumental works in public spaces in Cyprus, France and Greece. Ηe has presented his work in important museums and in many solo and international group exhibitions.
