Athina Antoniadou was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1962. She studied art at Paris Junior College, Texas, USA, under Cathie Tayler from 1979 to 1981. From 1981 to 1985 she transfered to the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, where she received her BFA degree.
From 1981 to 2006 she continued her studies through summer internships at the Lemba College of Arts in Paphos, Cyprus. In 1987 she had her first solo exhibition at Gloria Gallery in Nicosia, called “Pots”. From 1988 to present she has been involved in a number of public forum art projects, as well as presenting her work in international forums and solo shows.

2007 Co-founder of “THE KITA”, an Artists Project in the centre of Berlin, hosting 33 Artists of all disciplines“Danke und Chao and at Art Athina, Greece. Participates in the exhibition “Supernova -Constellations” at the Nicosia Municipal Art Center. Exhibition of her work “In Context” at Omicron Gallery in Cyprus in collaboration with photographer Marina Shacolas.
2009 Collaboration with artist, Horst Waierstall, on an artists book project commemorating the fall of the Berlin wall.
2011 Lecture at The Royal Holloway University and the VOME Institute on “Internet Privacy and The Self and participates in the “Social engagement” exhibition at the Artos Foundation in Nicosia.
2012 Exhibition “for another space and another time” Argo Gallery Nicosia
2017 She participates in the European Capital of Culture Pafos2017 with works entitled Re-Aphrodite in an exhibition called “Planites” curated by Elena Parpa
2018 Exhibition/installation at the Loukia & Michael Zampelas Art Museum entitled:“…and what is left of the rose, is only the name” curated by Dr. Monica Asimenou, Marina Christodoulidou and Michalis Vassiliades.
Her work can be found in numerous public and private collections in Cyprus and abroad. From 2001 she lives and works in Berlin.
