Elina Ioannou was born in 1979. Since 2005 she lives and works in Limassol, where she settled after completing her studies at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole, France gaining the DNAP and DNSEP / Master. She has participated in several personal and group exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad. She has represented Cyprus at the Youth Bienniale in Poulia, Italy in 2008, took part in the Thessaloniki Bienniale in 2011 and participated in the 12th Salon de Dessin in Montpellier, France in 2012. In the same year she presented her work at the 11th District in Paris and collaborated with the House of Hermes in Paris in 2015.

Since she he initially trained in the architecture industry, this has strongly influenced her work as a visual artist and her media includes a wide range of genres including drawing, sculpture and installations.
Her works are included in the State Collection of Contemporary Art of Cyprus, in the Phileleftheros Group Art Collection, in the Macedonian Museum of Thessaloniki, and in various private collections in Cyprus and abroad.
